WELCOME!

At SES, our counseling team works to provide counseling education, intervention, and prevention through short-term counseling, group counseling, classroom lessons, school programming, consultations, community resources, and crisis management. We work daily to ensure that our students have the best supports we can offer so that they can thrive in the classroom and beyond.

LEARN ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

Child Safety Matters

MBF Child Safety Matters® is a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum for elementary school students. The program educates and empowers children and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of abuse, and digital abuse dangers.

Second Step® Elementary is a leading research-based social/emotional learning curriculum for students in Kindergarten–Grade 5. Students receive approximately 20 lessons throughout the school year.

Second Step

Kuder

Kuder Galaxy is an online and evidence-based career awareness program. It uses videos, lessons, games, and activities to build career awareness with the goal of setting a solid foundation for future career development and success.

In September, we utilize social media, ribbons, and information to educate staff and families on suicide and suicide prevention. Students receive age appropriate lessons in AIM focused on mental wellness and self-care.

Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Red Ribbon Week

In October, SES joins this nationwide campaign focused on drug abuse prevention. We have contests, lessons in AIM focused on healthy decision making, prizes, and more to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles for all students.
