Students
Science Olympiad is a competitive academic club open to middle school students. Students compete in 23 events from three categories: building events, lab events, and study events. Students prepare building events, such as hovercrafts, towers, and airplanes to compete at regional and state competitions. They also study a myriad of advanced subjects, including meteorology, anatomy and physiology, and thermodynamics, and learn to how complete complex labs and analyze evidence in events such as Crime Busters (which analyzes evidence to solve a crime) and Potions and Poisons (in which students explore poisons, poisonous organisms, and treatment of poison).
